Recently, our Nashville commercial roofers completed the Middle TN University new roof construction project in Murfreesboro, which began in early December 2021. The project was no easy feat as it involved the installation of a 39,000 Sq Ft flat roof, 36,000 sq. ft. wall panels, and 12,000 sq. ft. single-ply contour welded ribs flat roofing.

In total, there were seven different areas that required work and attention. We also had to install durable metal siding, gutters, and downspouts along the large wall area.

Although the project was quite complex (multiple elevations, shapes, and creative angles), our roofers did an excellent job, but like any commercial roofing project of this size and scope, there were some challenges. The main one was coordinating with the different trades (electricians, plumbers, masons, etc.) who were also working on site.

We had to work around several other crews who weren’t always considerate of the roofing membrane, but our commercial roofing contractors managed to make all the repairs that were needed due to damage from the other crews.

All things considered, the project was both challenging and rewarding.

The new roof for Middle TN University is complete and looks great! We’re pleased with how it turned out and we know the students and staff will love it.
